The 2012 Underground Derby League charity bout season is about to kick off. We have our next home bout on Oct 28th.
DreamTeam Photography, my derby wife, & I came up with this concept for the bout poster for our Halloween/Food Bank fundraiser bout. Daniela & Hillary had me climbing things in my skates…walls, trees, and blackberry bushes to get different compositions. General consensus: Daniela did a great job on the poster and photos. I loved the creative control I had over the costume and make up (with the help of professional Game of Thrones make up artist Stacy Teague)…yeah I name-drop…so would you! I screwed it up though, went half of the shoot without my fangs in…I was so excited to get to it. *facepalm*
And in other fun, it hasn’t been a week since WFTDA Westerns, but people have already found things to whine about when it comes to Oly. My league is planning to travel with Oly to Coeur D’Alene for USARS regionals in October too…so we are hearing all of the nasty things that happened to them in CA last weekend. Gah, the haters are living on sour grapes. So I made them this fine art in response!
